Early Year’s Resolutions
Now that spring is here, let’s look back at your New Year’s Resolution. How are things holding up? If you have let things fall by the wayside by April, don’t be discouraged. It is very difficult to change habits in January. The weather is working against you, and so is the daylight time schedule. Now that it is getting warmer and the sun stays out later, it is time for an Early Year’s Resolution.
Just after the holidays, many of us make big plans for the year ahead. While you have hopefully made some great progress, it is very possible that things have not worked out exactly as you had hoped. Now, however, you have a few things that are more in your favor to make a big step towards change, whether you are looking to eat better or workout more.
On a positive note, there is now a more abundant selection of fresh foods available, which is a major factor in the way of eating healthy. If you started a diet in January, you did not have the best possible selection of fruits and vegetables. Therefore, you may have grown tired of your options and fallen back into bad eating habits. Now that it is no longer the New Year, you can recommit to fresh food. You will be much happier with your choices today.
Additionally, January weather can be very doomy and gloomy. If you were planning to hit the gym after work, you were often met with darkness and probably even ice and snow. That can be a pretty depressing combination. Luckily, the world has thawed and the sun shines brighter and later. You can get outside and move this Early Year! Now take some time and set an Early Year’s Resolution, you’ll be set up better for success.
